Sun is probably one of the worse enemies of lips. To keep your lips from the damaging rays of the sun, be sure to protect them. Lipstick before you get out in the sun is a great way to provide a barrier against the sun's UV rays. Make lipstick an important part of your suncare regime:
- If you plan to take a trip to the beach or hang out
by the pool, be sure to drop a lipstick or lip balm in your bag before you go.
- In the wintertime, store an extra lipstick in your glove box of your car. (Just be sure to get it out before the summer months, particularly in climates that get above 80 degrees, or you will have a mess on your hands.)
- Put an extra lipstick in every purse you own. Not only will you be ready to be kissable, but you won't ever forget your lipstick when you change out purses. Now, some of us have more than our fair share of purses...so pick your top five.
- One of the best uses of a halfway gone lipstick is to stuff it in a bag you use to go to the beach or pool. That way you are never without.
- And be sure, above all else, to moisturize your lips at night before you go to bed. Then again in the morning after you first brush your teeth. This is even more important in he wintertime, since artificial heat on the inside at home or work sucks the moisture out of the air.
Keeping your lips soft and protected from the sun's UV rays is an important part of your beauty regime. Have fun with the new colors that come out for each season and treat yourself with the excuse of needing to have extras at all time!
