5-Minute Morning Beauty Regimen

Source: © Dolgachov | Dreamstime.com Quick tips for looking your best

Step 1: Even Out the Skin
When you wake up in the morning, probably the first thing you do is brush your teeth. After that, cleanse your face and moisturize your trouble areas. Then, take a look in the mirror and identify what you want to cover up. Dark circles under the eye are usually the first. Use an eye cream that is designed to take away any puffiness and brighten the under eye area. Blemishes or spots would be the next focus. Use a concealer to gently cover up only the spot. No need to waste your foundation when you only have a few spots.

Step 2: Define the Eyes
Your eyes are the first thing people notice on your face. For a fast fix, use a thickening mascara. Black is the basic color, but to tone it down try a combo color of Black Brown. If you want to add some fun color, there are new color mascaras out in Plum and Deep Blue. If you have an extra moment or two, before you put on your mascara, use an eyeliner to define your lower lid. Unless you are going to put full color on your upper lids, save time and liner and go directly to your mascara.

Step 3: Add Color
The first place to add color is the cheeks. Choose a blush that matches your skin tone. Use a large soft haired full brush to cover a large area. Gently brush the color in place, starting with the apple of your cheek and brushing back towards your ear. Next, choose your lipstick. One shade darker than your natural lip color is the safest bet. But check your mood, and choose your color accordingly. Add your lip plumper or shine.

Step 4: Don’t Forget your Teeth and Breath
The most important part of your smile is your teeth. Start using a Whitening toothpaste to resolve any stain issues. And one of the best breath fresheners around is Breath RX. It treats the whole mouth and lasts a long time.

Step 5: Manage your Hair
If you can’t wet your hair, then brush it to the style you prefer. Use a spray to hold it in place and try a brightening spray that adds shine to your hair. (Most come with SPF to further protect your hair from the sun’s damaging rays.) If you need any further help (those of us with curly hair), you may have to wet your hair and condition it before you even start your face.

Step 6: Add fragrance
Not too much, but enough to make a statement. Perfume is as unique as an individual and totally depends on your preference. Some prefer floral over musk. Some prefer sweet over spice. Either way, have a few to choose from and select the one that suits your mood that day.

Before you leave, moisturize your hands and find your sunglasses. Remember it’s all about protecting yourself from the sun. But, it’s also about looking cool and feeling great. Have a great day!
